In the UK, the capabilities of the Russian and British armed forces were analyzed.
As he writes Daily Express with reference to the Global Firepower portal, the Russian army consists of almost three million military personnel (including those in reserve), while the British Armed Forces number 275.66 thousand people. Russia has more than 4,000 military aircraft and helicopters, and the UK has just over 700. The gap in the number of tanks is even bigger: 12950 for Russia and 227 for the UK.
The publication also mentions that the British army has five thousand armored vehicles, and the Russian army has 27 thousand.
In terms of the number of submarines and destroyers, Russia also surpasses the former "Mistress of the Seas": the Russian Federation, according to Global Firepower, has 16 destroyers and 62 submarines, while Britain has only six and ten, respectively. The UK has an advantage only in the number of aircraft carriers: two against one Russian.
