Top500.org published on Monday a list of the 500 most productive supercomputers in the world; in the ranking of countries with supercomputers, Russia ranked 10th in terms of a combination of factors that take into account the number and power of machines.
Top500 is an authoritative rating, it is calculated every six months and published for the 58th time.

The most powerful supercomputer Fugaku is located in Japan, its performance is 442,010 Tflops, and the number of cores is 7,630,848. The second most powerful Summit supercomputer (148,600 Tflops, 2,414,592 cores) is located in the USA, as is the third most powerful machine – Sierra (94,640 Tflops, 1,572,480 cores).
The integral index for countries takes into account the number of supercomputers included in the Top500 and their total performance. The first place in the ranking of countries is occupied by China, the second by the USA - 149, the third by Japan. See the first 30 countries . here, by selecting "County/Region" and "November 2021"/
Among the manufacturers of supercomputers in terms of the number of machines included in the Top500, the Chinese Lenovo is the leader. However, the combined performance of HPE (USA) and Fujitsu (Japan) supercomputers is higher.
Russia owes its place in the Top10 to Yandex, whose supercomputers entered the Top500 in 19, 36, 40 places. Another domestic car, which entered the rating in 43rd place, belongs to "Sber".
In June, Russia was in the Top500 16th.
