Dubai. November 18. INTERFAX - The Saudi-led Arab coalition has launched massive strikes against Houthi targets in Yemen after intercepting and destroying a drone that was trying to attack the Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi news agency SPA reported on Thursday.
The coalition has taken "operational measures to combat the sources of hostile cross-border attacks," the statement said.
Saudi state television clarified that the strikes were carried out on military targets in the Yemeni provinces of Sanaa, Damar, Saada and al-Jawf in response to the threats posed by the launches of ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles by the Houthis. Workshops for their production and warehouses, as well as communication systems were destroyed.
