TSAMTO, November 16. The Russian Helicopters Holding Company of Rostec State Corporation and the Emirati company AJ Holding LLC have established a joint venture Alpha Aviation LLC in the Ajman Free Zone free Economic Zone.
The joint venture will be engaged in the promotion and sale of Russian civil helicopter equipment abroad.
The key market for Alpha Aviation will be the countries of the Middle East, where by 2026 it is planned to sell more than 20 civilian helicopters of various types – Ansat, Mi-171A2, Ka-32, Mi-38. The joint venture is also responsible for the organization of maintenance of Russian helicopters in the region.
"In the person of AJ Holding, we have received a reliable partner for the promotion of our civilian equipment in the Middle East. The format of the joint venture will allow us to expand our presence in an extremely important region for us. The company started its work a few months ago, but already today we see the first results – within the framework of Dubai Airshow 2021 Alpha Aviation signed a contract for the supply of two Mi-171A2 helicopters to Peru and an agreement on the supply of four Ansat helicopters and one Mi-17-1B in the interests of the Ras al Khaimah Emirate police," said Andrey Boginsky, CEO of Russian Helicopters Holding.
