DUBAI, November 16. /tass/. The Russian Helicopters Holding Company (part of Rostec State Corporation) plans to sell a sufficient amount of equipment to the Middle East countries, about ten helicopters per year. This was announced on Tuesday by the CEO of Russian Helicopters Andrey Boginsky in an interview with the Rossiya-24 TV channel.
"For this region [the Middle East], we expect that we will sell a fairly large amount of equipment here. About 10 helicopters per year. This is an essential thing for us," he said.
According to Boginsky, on the sidelines of Dubai Airshow 2021, the Russian equipment presented at the exhibition arouses great interest of the audience. Among civilian equipment, the Mi-8 and Mi-17 helicopters attract the most attention. "With the support of operational leasing, we expect that only through the operating center we will be able to promote about 140-150 civilian helicopters not only to this market [in the Middle East] by the end of 2029-2030," Boginsky said.
The international exhibition Dubai Airshow 2021 takes place from November 14 to 18 in the United Arab Emirates. Russia has prepared a number of world premieres for the air show.
