MOSCOW, November 15. /tass/. The first day of comprehensive examination training was held at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center (CPC). This is stated in the message of Roscosmos, distributed on Monday.
The main crew of the spacecraft includes Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin, Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa and his business assistant Yozo Hirano. The backup is Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexander Skvortsov and a participant in the space flight Shchun Ogiso.
"Today, on November 15, 2021, the Cosmonaut Training Center began comprehensive examination training (KET) with the participation of the main and backup crews of the expedition visiting the International Space Station EP-20," the message says.
As specified in the state corporation, since the backup crew includes only two crew members, Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev was involved in the examination training.
During the exam, the crew members encountered a number of emergency situations related to malfunctions during the operation of equipment, work with equipment and life support systems at the station. In addition, "accidents" are introduced during the training, including fire, depressurization or release of toxic substances. The final day of comprehensive examination training is November 16.
The launch of the Soyuz MS-20 manned spacecraft to the ISS with two space tourists is scheduled for December 8, 2021. The duration of the flight will be 12 days. Cosmonaut Misurkin will manage the Soyuz MS-20.
