This was reported to journalists by the head of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec) Yuri Slyusar. According to him, such a possibility was discussed on Sunday during negotiations on the sidelines of the Dubai Airshow.
"Today we had quite productive negotiations with the Mubadala Foundation <...> on joint projects on composite production in the interests of the MS-21 project <...><...> We are really impressed with the level that colleagues [the Mubadala Foundation] have reached <...><...> We are discussing with colleagues just their capabilities, their high level to cooperate in terms of mastering units for the MS-21 aircraft," Slyusar said.
In February, the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov reported that Russia could transfer the technology of producing composites by the infusion method to companies from the UAE. He noted that the classical method is now used in the UAE. At the same time, the Minister noted that during the visit of Russian specialists to the UAE in 2019, the Russian Federation was satisfied with the quality of the composites produced.
The minister explained that Russia is interested in establishing the production of composites with diffusion technology in the UAE and later place an order for production in this country.
