Dubai. November 14th. INTERFAX - Russia this year signed new contracts for the supply of weapons and military equipment worth over $ 10 billion abroad, the head of Rosoboronexport Alexander Mikheev said.
"In 2021, Rosoboronexport signed contract documents worth more than $ 10 billion," Mikheev told reporters at the Dubai Airshow-2021.
He noted that orders from the Middle East account for about 30% of the total portfolio of Rosoboronexport.
Rosoboronexport is Russia's only state organization for the export/import of the entire range of military and dual-use products, services and technologies. It is part of the Rostec State Corporation.
In August, Mikheev said that following the results of the Army-2021 forum, the Russian Federation increased its portfolio of orders worth over 2 billion euros, signing about 20 contracts.
In particular, the supply of Su-30 aircraft, Mi-35P, Mi-171Sh and Mi-17V-5 helicopters, aviation weapons, Kornet-EM ATGMs, weapons for ships and submarines was contracted.
"Rosoboronexport has signed the first contract for the newest mobile electronic countermeasures complex Repellent Patrol and the first contract for the newest anti-aircraft missile and gun complex Pantsir-S1M," Mikheev said.
According to him, the first contract for the Krasukha electronic warfare system has also been signed.
