China plans to land Taikonauts on the surface of the moon earlier than 2030. This was told on the air of the Chinese Global Television Network by the technical adviser of the Chinese Academy of Space Technologies Ye Peijian.
"So far, the country has set itself a goal: the landing of Chinese taikonauts on the Moon is quite possible before 2030," Ye Peijian said on the air of the China Global Television Network.
Earlier, China announced plans to land Taikonauts on the moon and build a research base in the 2030s. The preliminary landing site was called the South Pole because of the sufficient illumination of this area by sunlight.
On November 10, the head of NASA, Billy Nelson, said that the United States should make the maximum amount of effort to return to the Moon before China lands there.
Nelson said that the United States sets the task of returning a man to the moon no earlier than 2025. At the same time, the first manned flight into its orbit is planned no earlier than May 2024, it was originally planned for April 2023.
