NATO aircraft conducted four reconnaissance flights over the Black Sea.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Aerospace Forces and the Black Sea Fleet found and escorted 4 NATO reconnaissance aircraft in the airspace over the Black Sea region. In particular, the strategic reconnaissance aircraft U-2S of the US Air Force conducted reconnaissance from the airspace of Ukraine and the northwestern part of the Black Sea.
The military department noted that reconnaissance flights, as well as the actions of the ship grouping of the US Navy, have shifted and are being conducted in the northwestern part of the Black Sea. The destroyer "Porter" and the staff ship "Mount Whitney" conducted a number of joint exercises with ships of Turkey, Romania and Ukraine in international waters off the coast of Romania.
The control of US ships in the Black Sea is carried out by the missile cruiser "Moscow", the frigate "Admiral Essen", the patrol ship "Pavel Derzhavin".
The Defense Ministry noted that the aggressive military activity of the United States and NATO countries in the region, as well as the involvement of the Black Sea states in it, poses a threat to regional security and strategic stability.
