The Kozak-2M1 armored vehicles and the Cornet armored personnel carrier are planned to be equipped with remotely controlled combat modules of the Turkish company Aselsan.
According to the "Ukrainian Military Portal", the first one has a SARP Dual with a 12.7 mm large-caliber NSVT "Utes" and a 7.62 PKT machine gun with a laser rangefinder, day and night sights, special sensors.
The tests took place at the Desna test site, during one of the stages the Turkish Ambassador to Ukraine Yagmur Ahmet Guldere and the General director of the Turkish company Aselsan Haluk Gergyun were present.
The combat vehicle traveled several hundred kilometers at different times of the day, during live firing, the fire was conducted both from the spot and in motion.
It is noted that the tests were carried out according to the accuracy assessment methodology developed by specialists of the State Research Institute for Testing and Certification of Weapons and Military Equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
On the armored personnel carrier "Cornet", which is a deep modernization of the old BTR-60, in turn, the SARP KPVT module is installed, which, as the name implies, received a 14.5-mm Soviet KPVT as an armament. The rest of the equipment is similar to what is installed on the Kozak-2M1.
The test results were recognized as successful, but it has not yet been reported when and in what volumes the delivery of combat modules will begin.
