KAZAN, November 12. /tass/. Su-34 bombers bombed the positions of conditional militants who captured the settlement during the main draw of the peacekeeping exercises of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) "Unbreakable Brotherhood - 2021". This was reported to journalists on Friday by the press service of the Central Military District.
"In order to defeat critical enemy targets, Su-34 fighter-bombers of the Central Military District were involved. <...> The bombing strike was carried out on different targets simultaneously with the use of high-explosive fragmentation bombs OFAB-250. Then two pairs of Mi-24 helicopters delivered a conditional strike on the firing points of the "gangs" in the captured settlement,"the press service said.
In addition, the crews of Mi-8 helicopters delivered humanitarian cargo and evacuated a conditionally seriously ill refugee. In total, during the exercise, the aviation group carried out seven operational tactical tasks.
The joint exercise "Unbreakable Brotherhood-2021" is held from November 8 to 12 at the training ground of the Kazan Higher Tank Command School under the overall leadership of the commander of the Central Military District, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin. It is attended by military contingents of six CSTO member countries as part of peacekeeping units, military police units, operational groups of the CSTO Joint Staff and Secretariat, formations of internal affairs bodies (police), national guards, as well as authorized bodies in the field of emergency prevention and response.
In total, about 1.8 thousand people and up to 300 pieces of equipment are involved in the exercises.
