MOSCOW, November 11. /tass/. The State Duma at the plenary session on Thursday adopted in the first reading a bill on state support for participants of the innovative technopolis of the Russian Ministry of Defense "Era".
The document was submitted by the Government of the Russian Federation. "The draft law defines a list of measures of state support to technopolis participants in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, general conditions of activity and features of their legal status," the explanatory note says.
Thus, it is envisaged to create a technopolis development fund, which will allow in the form of grants and interest-free loans to finance research and work carried out by technopolis participants. The Ministry of Defense is granted the right to conclude lease and gratuitous use of property and other contracts "providing for the transfer of the right of use in respect of state property located on the territory of technopolis, without holding tenders or auctions."
Educational activities can be carried out in technopolis without mandatory obtaining a license and state accreditation.
As the head of the State Duma Committee on Defense Andrey Kartapolov noted, "more than a hundred inventions have already been made in technopolis today." "I am sure that even more discoveries will be made on this scientific platform for the benefit of the development of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and our state," he stressed.
Technopolis Era was created in accordance with the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin dated June 25, 2018. Research laboratories have been established in technopolis, which are equipped with advanced equipment that allows conducting research in 14 scientific areas. These are robotics, information security, biotechnical systems and technologies, small spacecraft, marine, hydrometeorological and geophysical support, weapons based on new physical principles, artificial intelligence technologies, etc.
