The author's team of the Tula NGO "Splav" received the Nikolai Makarovets Award for the creation of a 122-mm guided missile of increased range.
The winners of the award were Dmitry Avtukh, Dmitry Zaitsev, Vladimir Koreshkov, Sergey Morsin and Dmitry Khripkov, Rostec reported. Their projectile of increased accuracy and firing range is designed for three types of MLRS from the arsenal of the Russian army: "Grad", "Tornado-G" and the ship system A-215 "Grad-M".
- The firing range of the new ammunition has been increased due to the formation of a sub-planning area. Improved shooting accuracy and reduced ammunition consumption. The use of guided projectiles allows you to hit several spaced point targets in one salvo without re-targeting the package of guides," the corporation said.
NPO "Splav" is engaged in the development of multiple rocket launchers, heavy self-propelled flamethrowers and ammunition for them.
