INTERFAX - The reusable first stage of the American Falcon 9 launch vehicle, launched on Thursday Moscow time into orbit with the Crew Dragon-3 manned spacecraft, made a successful controlled landing on a floating platform in the Atlantic, the developer company SpaceX reported.
Vertical landing on the automatic marine platform A Shortfall of Gravitas in the Atlantic was carried out 9 minutes 29 seconds after the launch of the rocket. The platform was located about 600 km from the Cape Canaveral cosmodrome.
The launch of the Falcon 9 heavy launch vehicle with the Crew Dragon-3 spacecraft was carried out on November 10 at 21:03, US East Coast time (November 11 at 05:03 Moscow time) from the launch complex 39A of the Kennedy Comic Center in Florida (USA).
The crew of Crew Dragon-3 includes NASA astronauts Raja Chari (commander), Tom Marshburn (pilot) and Kayla Barron, as well as German astronaut Matthias Maurer of the European Space Agency (ESA). They will work at the station for six months - until April 2022.
