Russian bombers participated in the verification of the actions of combat crews performing air defense duty tasks in the Unified Regional Air Defense System of the Union State
MOSCOW, November 10. /tass/. Two Russian Tu-22M3 long-range bombers worked out interaction with the control points of the armed forces of the Russian Federation and Belarus and carried out an inspection of the air defense system of the Union State. This was reported to journalists on Wednesday in the Russian Defense Ministry.
The military department clarified that two Tu-22M3 of the Russian Aerospace Forces performed patrols in the airspace of Belarus.
"During the flight of the aircraft, issues of interaction with ground control points of the armed forces of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus were worked out," the Russian Defense Ministry noted.
"Russian aircraft participated in the verification of the actions of combat crews performing air defense combat duty tasks in the Unified Regional Air Defense System of the Union State," the ministry added.
The inspection of the air defense system, the department said, was conducted under the leadership of the commander of the Air Force and the air defense forces of Belarus. "All the tasks have been completed in full," the Defense Ministry stressed, noting that at the moment the Tu-22M3 long-range bombers have returned to the airfield based on the territory of the Russian Federation.
