Washington. November 9th. INTERFAX - US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken at a meeting with Romanian Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu discussed cooperation in addressing common threats and challenges, the US State Department reports.
"The Secretary of State praised Romania as a loyal NATO ally, and both agreed to cooperate on security issues on the Black Sea and Russian aggression against Ukraine and other countries on the Eastern flank of NATO," the US State Department said in a statement.
It is noted that during the meeting Blinken and Aurescu stressed the importance of the strategic partnership between the United States and Romania in strengthening defense and energy ties and addressing common threats and challenges.
