MOSCOW, November 8/ Sputnik Radio. Washington will transfer two Island-type coast Guard speedboats to Kiev, the American Embassy in Ukraine reported.
"Two American Island-class patrol boats left Baltimore for Odessa. These boats are part of the more than $2.5 billion in security assistance that the United States has provided to Ukraine since 2014. They will help strengthen the maritime security of Ukraine and increase the operational compatibility of the naval forces of Ukraine with NATO," the message reads.
Earlier, Ukraine has already received two such boats.
In October, political scientist Maxim Zharov on Sputnik radio commented on the statement by Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin about the US intention to continue supporting Ukraine.
