Dubai. November 7th. INTERFAX - The Iranian armed Forces on Sunday launched large-scale exercises "Zulfikar-1400" in coastal areas in the south-east of the country, as well as in nearby waters - from the eastern waters of the Strait of Hormuz to the northern Indian Ocean, the Tasnim agency reports.
The maneuvers also partially affect the Red Sea. Infantry units, armored and mechanized units of the Iranian army, Navy and Air Force of Iran, anti-aircraft installations take part in the exercises. The military uses electronic warfare and various types of drones, including those created in Iran.
The representative of the exercises said that the purpose of the maneuvers is to convey to the countries of the region a signal of Iran's readiness to ensure regional peace, and with joint efforts with other states, while forces external to this region cause only conflicts and instability here.
