The experiment starts on November 4 in Moscow
MOSCOW, November 4. /tass/. The results obtained during the SIRIUS-2021 isolation experiment, which starts on Thursday, will be implemented into the cosmonaut training system at the CPC. This was announced to TASS on Thursday by Vladimir Dubinin, Deputy head of the Gagarin Research Institute for Science and Development.
"The experiment is specific. Probably, all the cosmonauts of the CPC will not pass such a test. According to the results of this experiment, conclusions will be obtained, which, of course, will apply to the cosmonaut training system," he said.
Dubinin noted the large scale of the 240-day isolation experiment: this already fits into the framework of not only modeling a flight to the Moon, but also a flight to deep space, to Mars.
The SIRIUS-2021 international isolation experiment starts on Thursday in Moscow. A crew of six people (three men and three girls) will work out a flight to the moon as part of the experiment.
