Washington. November 4th. INTERFAX - US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken discussed with Australian Foreign Minister Maris Payne efforts to ensure a peaceful Indo-Pacific region and trilateral cooperation with AUKUS, State Department spokesman Ned Price said.
"They discussed the trilateral security partnership between Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States (AUKUS) and ways to deepen our engagement with other key allies and partners in our collective efforts to maintain a free and open Indo-Pacific region," Price said in a statement released by the State Department.
It is noted that Blinken and Payne during the conversation confirmed their commitment to collective work in the region aimed at recovery after COVID-19.
