MOSCOW, November 3. /tass/. The first spacewalk of Russian cosmonauts Anton Shkaplerov and Pyotr Dubrov is scheduled for January 19, the cosmonauts will have to lay cables between the Berth and Nauka modules, according to the Russian Cosmos magazine (the official publication of Roscosmos).
"19.01 - Anton Shkaplerov and Pyotr Dubrov's spacewalk under the VKD-51 program for laying cables between the Berth node module and Nauka in order to integrate them," the publication says.
According to the publication, also on January 27 and February 2, two spacewalks of Shkaplerov and Dubrov or astronaut Matthias Maurer are planned to work with the European ERA manipulator.
Earlier, the magazine reported that Russian cosmonauts will go into outer space eight times from January to May 2022.
According to the materials, three exits will be held in January, they will be performed by cosmonauts Shkaplerov and Dubrov. One exit will take place in April (Oleg Artemyev and Denis Matveev or Sergey Korsakov with astronaut Matthias Mauer), three more in May, one in June.
The multipurpose laboratory module "Nauka" was launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome on July 21, and on July 29 it docked to the ISS. The module is intended for the implementation of the Russian program of scientific and applied research and experiments. After its commissioning, the Russian segment will receive additional volumes for the arrangement of workplaces and cargo storage, placement of equipment for the regeneration of water and oxygen. With Nauka, Russian cosmonauts should get a second toilet, a cabin for a third crew member, as well as a European ERA manipulator, which will allow them to perform some work without going into outer space.
