The Main Medical Commission has decided that cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin, Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa and his business assistant Yozo Hirano are ready to make a space flight for 12 days. This is stated in the message of the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center (CPC), distributed on Tuesday.
"By the decision of the commission, Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin, spaceflight participants Yusaku Maezawa and Yozo Hirano (the main crew of the EP-20), as well as Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexander Skvortsov and spaceflight participant Shchun Ogiso (backup crew of the EP-20) were declared fit for spaceflight for health reasons," the message says.
According to the CPC, the commission included representatives of the center, Roscosmos, the Federal Medical and Biological Agency, the Institute of Biomedical Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
