We need to continue working on unmanned vehicles using artificial intelligence. This was stated by President Vladimir Putin at a meeting on defense issues in Sochi.
The second day of communication between the head of state and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and defense-industrial enterprises was devoted to the development of unmanned aviation. Vladimir Putin noted how it has proven itself in the armed conflicts of recent years. He stressed its effectiveness and danger - "I mean what we have seen in Syria: terrorist attacks using unmanned vehicles." "We have learned how to repel these attacks and are doing it quite effectively," the president said.
"Now we have more than 2 thousand unmanned aerial vehicles in service. We need to continue working on them as hard as it has been recently," Putin said. "I mean, among other things, the use of artificial intelligence, the most modern achievements, technology, science and, of course, the experience that we have ourselves when using these aircraft and analyzing what we observe around us," he concluded.
