The air defense forces of the Western Military District repelled a massive missile strike. At the Kapustin Yar training ground in the Astrakhan region, air defense exercises were held with combat launches of long-range anti-aircraft missile systems and medium- and short-range anti-aircraft missile systems.
According to the ZVO press service, during the exercise, the units repelled a massive strike by ballistic and cruise missiles, aviation, as well as a swarm of "enemy" drones. Anti-aircraft missile systems and complexes S-300V4, Buk-M3 and Tor-M2 participated in repelling the attack. The crews worked out the tasks of timely detection and reflection of air strikes in conditions of high-intensity radio-electronic interference.
As a result, the servicemen destroyed more than 40 aerial single and group targets. After the exercises, the units are preparing to be sent to their locations in the central part of Russia
