TSAMTO, November 2. Servicemen of the Military Academy of Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection named after Marshal of the Soviet Union S.K.Timoshenko have developed models of new personal protective equipment of an anti-infectious nature, as well as introduced new methods of disinfection of enclosed spaces.
The data of more than 1,000 generalized research results, 47 samples of materials and 12 finished products of protection against viral infection were sent to the Office of the Federal Service for Supervision in order to develop new means of protection for specialists working in "red zones".
During the pandemic, the Military Academy also developed a reusable protective mask designed to protect the respiratory organs of medical personnel and personnel performing tasks in the area of exposure to coronavirus infection. The sample, which can withstand more than 50 disinfection cycles without loss of material properties, is actively used in medical institutions by personnel working with the SARSCoV-2 virus, according to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
