On the basis of the newest Russian armored car "MIC-Ural", designers have created a new modification - a pickup truck. As reported, the first batch of such equipment is ready and will be sent to the client in the near future.
This multi-purpose vehicle, also known as the MIC-59095S, was first presented at the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2019".
It was noted that an armored car with a 4x4 wheel formula can serve as a platform for creating a whole line of various vehicles, for example, a command and staff vehicle, communication equipment and electronic warfare can be installed on it. The large armor volume allows the car to be used as a military ambulance, serving to evacuate wounded or injured servicemen.
The Ural design uses mass-produced components and assemblies that have proven themselves well by long-term operation of army vehicles, which significantly reduces the cost of samples.
The length of the car is 6,500 mm, width - 2,550 mm, height - 2,800 mm. Ground clearance - 400 mm. Weight - 14,500 kg.
The power of the YAMZ-536 diesel engine is 360 hp. The transmission is automatic. Suspension - spring. The maximum speed on the highway is 100 km/h. The fuel reserve is 1000 km. Capacity - 12 people.
Mine protection has been thoroughly strengthened - the safety of people inside is ensured when a land mine weighing 6 kg explodes. To increase the protection class, additional screens are provided for the single-volume armored hull.
Last year, the Military Industrial Complex-Ural, along with the Athlete, Arrow and buggy based on the Tiger, took part in the large-scale strategic command and staff exercise Caucasus 2020. It was also reported about the tests of an armored car in the Middle East.
