Istanbul. October 31. INTERFAX - The Russian frigate Admiral Essen, equipped with Kalibr long-range cruise missiles, returned to the Black Sea waters on Sunday after an 85-day stay in the Mediterranean, having passed the Bosphorus, Istanbul observers reported on social networks, publishing photos of its passage through the straits.
As the press service of the Black Sea Fleet (Black Sea Fleet) reported earlier, it was replaced on October 28 by a similar frigate Admiral Grigorovich in the Mediterranean Sea. He became part of the permanent operational unit of the Russian Navy in the Mediterranean.
Admiral Essen has been performing special tasks in the region since August 2021, the Black Sea Fleet noted.
