Dubai. October 31. INTERFAX - The head of the Civil Defense Organization of Iran, Gholamreza Jalili, who oversees the country's cybersecurity sphere, accused the United States and Israel of carrying out a cyberattack that this week led to unrest in the field of providing Iranian gas stations with fuel.
He made a reservation, however, that the technical investigation has not yet been completed.
"We still cannot say from the point of view of forensic examination, but from the point of view of analytics, I believe that this was done by the Zionist regime, the Americans and their agents," Jalili said in an interview with state television.
The cyberattack caused problems with the operation of gas stations in different parts of Iran. The fact of the cyberattack was confirmed by the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, and the target of the attack was government networks related to fuel subsidies, which many Iranians have to rely on against the background of serious economic problems in the country.
