MOSCOW, October 29. /tass/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a traditional series of military meetings in Sochi in early November. This was announced to TASS on Friday by the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov.
"Yes. These meetings will be held next week," the Kremlin representative said, answering a question about the timing of the autumn series of meetings of the President of the Russian Federation in Sochi with the leadership of the military-industrial complex (MIC) and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
The Head of State traditionally gathers the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, key enterprises of the military-industrial complex, as well as the chief designers of these enterprises twice a year.
The last series of such meetings took place in May of this year, during three days they discussed, in particular, the main directions of the development of the armed forces for the long term, the implementation of the state defense order, as well as issues of military transport aviation and the topic of high-precision long-range weapons.
Earlier on Friday, at a meeting with the President of the Russian Federation, the head of Rosfinmonitoring, Yuri Chikhanchin, reported, in particular, on active work with Promsvyazbank (the main bank of the military-industrial complex) to assess the risks of financial transactions in the profile area. He mentioned, among other things, the issues of determining profitability for individual contracts. Putin, in turn, noted that this topic will be discussed at meetings in Sochi.
