The possible start of testing of this novelty before the end of this year was reported at the International Aviation and Space Salon Airshow China 2021 in Zhuhai, which took place from September 28 to October 3.
Judging by the mock-up of the aircraft demonstrated at this forum, the existing experienced medium-sized FC-31 fighter was chosen as the basis.
So far there are no official details about this important event for the aircraft industry of China.
There are only photographs taken from the ground, which depict the "thirty-fifth" in the air, already painted in a characteristic marine color. The future deckhand performed the first flight with an unassembled landing gear, he was accompanied by a serial J-11.
It is assumed that by December 31, the aircraft will take to the sky several more times, and next year it will be fully tested.
In May of this year, it was also reported about the first flight of the deck version of the Chinese combat training JL-9G.
In addition, at the end of last week, the most massive Chinese fighter J-10S made an emergency landing on the water in Henan province.
