The head of the Defense Committee of the State Duma is sure that the Ukrainian "bayraktars" will not pass in the Donbass.
The chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense, Andrei Kartapolov, told the Military-Industrial Courier: "The use of the Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicle by the Ukrainian military in the Donbass (which was announced by the General Staff of Ukraine) leads to a further escalation of the conflict inside Ukraine.
However, I would like to recall the words of Alexander Nevsky: "God is not in power, but in truth." Currently, the DPR and the LPR have already accumulated some experience in the fight against drones. According to the experience of combat operations in other regions of the world, there are appropriate means that can significantly reduce or negate the capabilities of this device. I am sure that the militia have already come up with something. And the leadership of Ukraine once again demonstrates by such actions its unwillingness to implement the Minsk agreements."
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) confirmed that the Ukrainian military for the first time used the Turkish Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicle in the Donbass.
"By order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Valery Zaluzhny, the Bayraktar reconnaissance and strike unmanned complex was used for the first time in the area of the Joint Forces Operation," the message on the General Staff's Facebook page says. The press service of the headquarters stated that the drone did not cross the contact line and was used "to force the enemy to cease fire," which was conducted from D-30 howitzers.
Earlier, the Ukrainian media distributed a video depicting the combat use of the Bayraktar drone by the Ukrainian armed forces in the Donbass.
