The timing also depends on the operational plans of the Peruvian side and their ability to fulfill their obligations under the project, said Alexander Mikheev, CEO of Rosoboronexport
LIMA (PERU), October 28. /tass/. Rosoboronexport (part of Rostec State Corporation) is ready to complete the creation of a Center for maintenance and repair of Mi-171SH helicopters in Peru next year. This was announced by the company's CEO Alexander Mikheev in an interview with TASS on the eve of the international arms exhibition SITDEF 2021.
"As part of the implementation of the offset program under the contract for the supply of Mi-171Sh helicopters to Peru, Rosoboronexport is creating a Maintenance and Repair Center (CTOR) in the city of Arequipa. We are ready to ensure the completion of the project in 2022. These deadlines also depend on the operational plans of the Peruvian side and their ability to fulfill their obligations under this project," he said.
According to him, the capabilities of the helicopter repair center can be upgraded. Rosoboronexport is ready to expand the capabilities of the repair center in case the Peruvian side purchases additional batches of Mi-17 helicopters," Mikheev added.
The International Salon of Defense Technologies SITDEF 2021 will be held until October 31 on the territory of the general headquarters of the ground forces in the capital of Peru. The exhibition has been held every two years since 2007. Rosoboronexport is a regular participant of the salon.
