TSAMTO, October 27. For the defense technology exhibition SITDEF 2021, which will be held from October 28 to 31 on the territory of the General Headquarters of the Ground Forces in Lima (Peru), CAMTO publishes statistics on imports of VIVT Peru for the last 8 years (2013-2020).
Arms deliveries to Peru in 2013-2020 were carried out by 14 countries. Over an 8-year period, the volume of identified military imports of Peru for all exporting countries amounted, according to the CAMTO, to $2.256 billion.
During the same period, a package of orders for the purchase of weapons in the amount of $ 1.591 billion was formed.
The first place in the ranking of the largest exporters of Peru's PVN in the period 2013-2020 is occupied by Russia – $ 580.3 million (25.72% of the market). The order portfolio formed during the same period is $540.8 million (about 34% of the market).
The second place in the ranking of the largest exporters of Peru's PVN in the period 2013-2020 is occupied by South Korea – 444.7 million dollars (19.71% of the market). The order portfolio formed in 2013-2020 is $119.8 million (7.53% of the market).
China ranks third in the ranking – 242.2 million dollars (10.74%). The formed order portfolio is $122.2 million (7.68%).
Italy ($241.3 million), France ($188.9 million), Canada ($170.3 million), Spain ($113.5 million), the Netherlands ($92.4 million), Israel ($59.1 million) and Germany ($37.7 million) occupy places from 4th to 10th in the ranking of Peru's largest arms suppliers for the period 2013-2020.
Arms deliveries to Peru were also realized (in descending order of volumes) New Zealand, Great Britain, USA and Ukraine.
In 2021-2024, according to the existing portfolio of orders, tenders and announced plans for the direct purchase of weapons, the volume of imports of Peru, according to the CAMTO, will amount to $ 541.3 million against $ 569.8 million in 2017-2020 and $ 1.687 billion in 2013-2016.
According to the existing portfolio of orders and intentions for direct procurement, in 2021-2024, the first place still belongs to an unknown exporter (ongoing or planned tenders, the results of which as of October 2021 have not been summed up) – $ 250 million.
The second place in the projected volume of exports of Peru's PVN in the period 2021-2024 is occupied by Ukraine – $ 65 million.
Russia ranks third ($62.2 million).
In general, as of October 2021, 8 countries have orders for the supply of Peru's PVN with a deadline of 2021-2024.
