The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has published a video of the first combat use of the Bayraktar TB2 drone. The drone struck a guided bomb at an artillery battery in the Donbass. The APU reported the destruction of one D-30 howitzer along with the calculation, and then published a video of the operation.
The strike was carried out on the afternoon of October 26 in the area of the settlement of Granitnoye. The drone did not cross the line of contact between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the DPR troops, the General Staff stressed. If you look at the video more closely, it is noticeable that the gun was not particularly damaged, and the calculation survived - after the explosion, it returns to the gun.
Bayraktar TB2 is a Turkish medium-range reconnaissance and strike drone. In 2018, Ukraine signed a contract for the supply of six drones, three control stations and ammunition for a total of $ 69 million, the delivery was completed at the end of 2019. In September 2021, a contract was signed for the supply of 48 more drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
