For the first time, his model was shown at the International Military-Technical Forum "Army - 2017". Tactical and technical characteristics were also published there. Then real self-propelled installations were demonstrated in the Moscow region.
With good mobility, this 14-ton combat vehicle can be used to destroy enemy manpower and defeat lightly armored enemy equipment, as well as perform other tasks to support units on the battlefield.
The accuracy of the use of ammunition is ensured by the latest fire control systems. The maximum firing range is 6000 meters. The angles of vertical guidance are 45-85 degrees. The rate of fire is up to eight rounds per minute. The transfer time from the marching position to the combat position is only 60 seconds.
According to data recently released by the Central Research Institute "Burevestnik", the 2B27B combat module itself, weighing 1,700 kg, can be successfully mounted on other types of carriers - both wheeled and tracked, and even on watercraft.
Last year, in the catalog of the Military Industrial Company, the well-known four-axle Russian armored personnel carriers of the BTR-80/82 family were indicated as a possible platform.
It is possible that soon we will see these modules on new combat vehicles.
