Ukrainian armored vehicles will receive weapons manufactured by the Turkish company Aselsan. The manufacturer will supply combat modules for "Kazak-2M1" armored vehicles. This is reported by the Defense Blog.
Aselsan has expressed its readiness to supply Sarp Dual and Sarp Zafer combat modules. Both developments can be used as part of the "Kazak-2M1" armored car developed by the NGO "Praktika".
Sarp Dual can use two types of weapons in one installation. So, a 7.62 mm machine gun can work with an automatic grenade launcher or a 12.7 mm machine gun. The advantage of the Sarp Zafer combat module was the ability to recharge weapons while inside the car.
The armored vehicle "Kazak-2" was developed by the specialists of the NGO "Praktika". The car is based on the Iveco Eurocargo 150 E28 truck. According to the manufacturer, the reservation of the upgraded armored car "Kazak-2M1" provides protection from fire with armor-piercing incendiary bullets of 7.62 mm caliber. The 280 horsepower engine provides a maximum speed of up to 110 kilometers per hour.
In September, the information and consulting agency Defense Express reported on the ignition of the armored car "Dozor-B" during factory tests. The prototype of the car caught fire during testing of fire-fighting equipment.
