The cargo ship was in free flight for more than a day, moving away from the station by almost 200 km and getting closer again
MOSCOW, October 25. /tass/. The docking node of the multipurpose laboratory module "Science" on the ISS is ready to receive the new node module "Berth". This was announced on Monday by cosmonaut Pyotr Dubrov, who is now on board the station.
Dubrov recalled that the main event of last week on the ISS was the re-docking of the Progress MS-17 spacecraft from the Search module to Nauka.
"In September, Oleg Novitsky and I already docked to the same node of the Nauka module, but it was in manual mode. Now the truck was able to dock automatically, and everything went without comment. And this means that the docking system is ready to receive the new Berth node module in November," the cosmonaut wrote on his Instagram page.
Dubrov also noted that the cargo ship was in free flight for more than a day, moving away from the station by almost 200 km and getting closer again.
The node module should dock to the multipurpose laboratory module "Science", which docked to the ISS on July 29. Earlier, the CEO of Roscosmos told reporters that the state commission will analyze the problems that arose during the launch of "Science" and take them into account when launching the node module, which is scheduled for November 24.
