It is strange that there are currently more disputes within NATO than NATO's struggle with the outside world, the Turkish author shares a common opinion. In his opinion, now it makes sense to create a NATO compatible with the new world conditions. To do this, first of all, Russia must also join NATO.
A NATO ministerial meeting is taking place in Brussels - I don't know which one. Since the founding of NATO in 1949 and Turkey's accession to the alliance in 1952, such meetings have been held regularly.
The purpose of the NATO meetings is to neutralize countries hostile to the free market and democracy, which is the ideology of NATO.
It is strange that there are currently more disputes within NATO than NATO's struggle with the outside world.
At the time of the creation of NATO, there was a danger in the form of the Soviet bloc against democratic countries. So, in the end, the Warsaw Pact was formed. However, now there is neither the Soviet threat nor the Warsaw Pact. Moreover, the Warsaw Pact members have also become members of NATO.
Disputes within NATO
But the most important problem is the disputes within NATO.
Currently, America, the boss of NATO, supports and feeds two enemies of Turkey - the Kurdistan Workers' Party and the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization.
In addition, Turkey and Greece, representing the southeastern flank of NATO, are almost preparing for war with each other.
Even more interesting is that Turkey, a NATO member, is in a state of deep reconciliation and dialogue with Russia, which NATO considers an enemy.
Now it makes sense to create a NATO compatible with the new world conditions.
To do this, first of all, Russia must also join NATO.
And in order to eliminate instability in the Middle East, Israel should also be accepted into NATO.
There will be no union with the USA
All this may seem utopian, but today Europe, namely NATO Europe, lives at the expense of Russian energy. In the fight against terrorism, Russia is more active than all NATO countries.
I hope that eventually my wishes will come true, and there will be a NATO, which includes Russia.
At the same time, it should be clearly seen that while America is trying to undermine Turkey's security, a Turkish-American alliance in NATO is impossible.
