The robot will identify violators of various types: people without appropriate access to the spaceport, ground vehicles, unmanned aerial vehicles
MOSCOW, October 24. /tass/. The Marker robotic platform, tested earlier at the Vostochny cosmodrome, will be able to fight off intruder drones with the help of electronic pulses, kamikaze drones and capture nets. This was reported to TASS in the press service of the NGO "Android Technology".
As specified in the organization, the robot "Marker" will identify violators of various types: people without appropriate access to the cosmodrome, ground vehicles, unmanned aerial vehicles. Depending on the type of violator, various countermeasures are applied.
"In the case of a fight against UAVs, options for electronic suppression of the UAV control system, capture networks, kamikaze drones to disable the intruder UAV are being considered," the press service noted.
If the "Marker" detects an intruder, it will apply a system of sound effects on him and transmit a message about unauthorized access to the task force. "Approximately the same technology of countering violators on motor vehicles, only in this situation, Marker can also conduct operational prosecution of the violator and intercept him," the NGO added.
Earlier, the general director of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin said that the robotic platform in security performance began patrolling the Vostochny cosmodrome. According to him, it works both in radio-controlled and offline modes. The robotic platform "Marker" is a joint project of the National Center for the Development of Technologies and Basic Elements of Robotics FPI and the NGO "Android Technology".
