MOSCOW, Oct 23 - RIA Novosti. The Russian unmanned aerial vehicle S-70 "Hunter" will become one of the most advanced aerial combat vehicles after commissioning. Ex-US Army officer Brent Eastwood writes about this in an article for 19fortyfive.
"If the tests are successful and all the declared characteristics of the drone turn out to be a reality, then the Hunter will become a real beast," he said.
According to Eastwood, Russian engineers should be given credit for trying to fully link the Hunter systems with the Su-57 fighter.
The author also called the S-70 concept intriguing. In his opinion, this development opens up new opportunities for aerial combat.
The S-70 Hunter was developed at the Sukhoi Design Bureau. The drone is made according to the aerodynamic scheme "flying wing". According to open sources, the length of the drone is 14 meters, the wingspan is 19 meters, the take-off weight is 20 tons. The first flight of the Hunter took place on August 3, 2019.
