16 Soyuz rockets have already been launched at various cosmodromes in 2021
SAMARA, October 21. /tass/. The Progress Rocket and Space Center (RCC) plans to launch more than 20 Soyuz rockets in 2021. This was announced to journalists on Thursday by the general director of the company Dmitry Baranov.
"We plan to [launch] in the area of 20 [missiles], for 20," Baranov said, answering a relevant question.
At the moment, 16 Soyuz rockets have been launched from different cosmodromes this year.
Progress RCC produces Soyuz-2 family launch vehicles. A promising Soyuz-5 rocket is also being created, for the production of which in 2019 the Industry Development Fund (VEB Group.The Russian Federation) provided the RCC with a preferential loan in the amount of 750 million rubles for the creation of the production of Soyuz-5 launch vehicles. The first launch is scheduled for 2023.
