He noted that the first Soyuz-2 missiles.1a" and "Soyuz-2.1b" were launched immediately with spacecraft.
Baranov also said that it is too early to talk about the adaptation of the Soyuz-5 launch vehicle for the Sea Launch floating cosmodrome. According to him, earlier the owners of the "Sea Launch" were told that the Soyuz-5 corresponds to the characteristics of a rocket that can be launched from a floating spaceport.
In 2019, the Industrial Development Fund (VEB Group.The Russian Federation) provided the Progress RCC with a preferential loan under the special Conversion program in the amount of 750 million rubles for the creation of the production of Soyuz-5 launch vehicles. The total budget of this project is 1.6 billion rubles. The first launch is scheduled for 2023.
