The Russian military conducted a master class for Syrian servicemen and showed how to handle a domestic Bumblebee flamethrower. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Russia on Thursday, October 21.
Such skills will be useful to them when storming buildings and defeating fortifications.
"The firing of rocket-propelled infantry flamethrowers has been practically carried out. During the training, the personnel showed a high level of combat training," said Denis Egorov, head of the radiation, chemical and biological protection forces of the Russian group in Syria.
The fighters need to work in conjunction with the arrows and hit the target under the cover of aerosol camouflage.
Another part of the training is maneuvers under smoke cover. The infantry moved forward while the flamethrowers hit the firing points of the conditional enemy, then there was an offensive under the cover of an armored personnel carrier (APC) of the Russian military police.
"These classes are very important for us. Today we learned how to shoot with a new type of weapon, and also worked out the tactical training of flamethrowers under the cover of infantry and Russian armored vehicles," said a soldier of the Syrian army.
The training complex takes place at several training grounds in northern Syria.
On October 20, it became known that the military of Russia and Egypt practiced landing without parachutes from a mock-up of the Mi-8 helicopter. They descended the cables, firing blanks as they went.
