Moscow. October 20. INTERFAX - The number of flights of reconnaissance and tactical aircraft of the NATO Air Force in the Russian border area has increased by almost a third compared to last year, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.

"The number of flights of reconnaissance and tactical aircraft of the NATO Air Force in the areas bordering the Russian Federation has increased by 30 percent," Shoigu said at a joint board of the military departments of Russia and Belarus.

According to him, "the high intensity of operational and combat training under the auspices of NATO remains."
