In Russia, the production of weapons of the Nagant system has resumed. Yesterday, on October 15, the TASS news agency reported that the private Russian company "Sestroretsk Arms Factory" launched the production of a carbine based on the legendary revolver.
The presentation of the carbine took place at the international arms exhibition "ORËLEXPO-2021", which is taking place these days in Moscow. The exact historical prototype of the new revolver was an elongated version of the "Nagant" of the border guard of the imperial army, produced at the very beginning of the twentieth century.

Thanks to the elongated barrel and the non-removable butt, the weapon complies with Russian weapons legislation for civilian weapons (length - at least 800 mm). According to the manufacturer's representatives, this sample may be of interest to both collectors and lovers of military history, as well as hunters. It is planned to produce the product in the original caliber of 7.62 × 38 mm, as well as a hunting version in the caliber of 22LR.
