MOSCOW, October 15. /tass/. Joint Russian-Serbian crews of MiG-29 fighter jets have practiced intercepting low-flying drones in Serbia. This was reported on Friday by the Russian Defense Ministry.
"Joint crews of MiG-29 fighters have worked out actions to intercept low-speed low-flying air targets," the report says.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the pilots performed combat maneuvers, including combat turns, climbing in an ascending spiral with a decrease in flight speed and subsequent designation of the target attack.
"In addition, takeoffs and landings by a pair were worked out, as well as offensive and defensive-offensive tactical techniques during the drawing of a close maneuver battle," the military department stressed.
The Russian-Serbian tactical flight exercise Bars-2021 will last until October 16. They involve joint crews of the Russian Federation and Serbia on MiG-29 aircraft and Mi-8 and Mi-35 helicopters.
