Employees of the US Navy (Navy) who will not be fully vaccinated against coronavirus by November 28 will be dismissed. This is stated in the message of the US Navy, which was cited on October 14 by the FOX News channel.
The deadline for full vaccination for this category of citizens is set on December 28. Thus, sailors on active military service need to get a second coronavirus vaccination no later than November 14, reservists - no later than December 14.
"Seafarers wishing to receive an exemption from vaccination can apply for medical reasons or for religious reasons," the statement says.
At the same time, it is noted that in case of refusal of vaccination, military personnel will be dismissed. At the same time, this type of dismissal may lead to the loss of some benefits for veterans, the US Navy added.
Earlier, on July 29, the United States Government confirmed its intention to introduce mandatory vaccination among federal employees. So, the administration of American President Joe Biden intends to oblige those White House employees who have not confirmed vaccination against infection to wear masks and gloves.
According to The Washington Post, Biden signed a decree on September 9, according to which all government employees and the military are required to undergo a full course of vaccination.
The Pentagon has already introduced a mandate to undergo the procedure among 1.3 million military personnel in service. However, on September 23, a lawsuit was filed in the US District Court in Washington to cancel this requirement. The initiators were Air Force officers, three employees of federal contractors, as well as a Secret Service agent.
