Kiev. October 14th. INTERFAX-UKRAINE - Ukraine will receive missile weapons and warships from the UK, while technologies for their construction will be transferred to Ukrainian shipyards, Ukrainian Ambassador to London Vadym Prystaiko said.
"Four directions that will strengthen the ability of our military fleet will be implemented and will be announced in the near future. I am convinced that two existing ships will be purchased in the near future, they will immediately become part of the Navy, work will begin on the construction of two naval ports, the construction of smaller ships in Ukraine and the UK will begin, " Prystaiko said in an interview with Dom TV channel on Thursday evening.
According to him, the first warship for Ukraine will be built in the UK, and then the technology will be transferred to Ukrainian shipyards. The first ships that the British will hand over to Ukraine are minesweepers that will help protect the coast from the mine threat, the ambassador said.
