VORONEZH, October 14 - RIA Novosti. The head of the Russian Military Department, Sergei Shoigu, highly appreciated the results of the work of specialists of the Military Construction Complex of the Ministry of Defense of Russia on the creation of a modern training and material base of the Zhukovsky and Gagarin Air Force Academy in Voronezh.
"Excellent conditions have been created for the training of our future pilots and technicians. Well done builders, engineers, those who were engaged in the very concept of military repair and helicopters, and airplanes, unmanned aerial vehicles. This is a serious step that will allow us to reduce the terms of repair and maintenance of aviation by almost an order of magnitude, as well as costs by an order of magnitude. 50 thousand rubles or 7 million rubles - is there a difference?" - the minister noted during the inspection of the academy's infrastructure on Thursday.
According to him, a very big and important matter has been completed. During the inspection, Shoigu was shown the newly created training modular technical and operational part (TEC) of complexes with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at the academy.
The CHP is built on the basis of prefabricated container-type buildings and is intended for training specialists who are engaged in military repair of complexes with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The container-type buildings house three laboratories for the regulation and repair of radio-electronic and aviation equipment of drones, as well as power plants of UAVs. The laboratories are equipped with equipment for diagnostics and control of the technical condition of radio-electronic and aviation equipment units, as well as the necessary tools, measuring instruments for the production of military repairs in a modular and elemental way.
In addition, the fuel and energy complex includes the UPS-16TM pneumatic equipment designed for servicing aircraft equipment, carrying out installation and dismantling works, organizing the reception of an aircraft for routine maintenance (military repairs), as well as conducting complex diagnostics of UAVs.
The modular thermal power plant of complexes with UAVS was put into operation in September 2021. The Military Training and Research Center of the Air Force "Air Force Academy (VVA) named after Professor N. E. Zhukovsky and Yu. A. Gagarin" was established in 2012 in Voronezh. It was formed as a result of the merger of the VVA named after Professor N. E. Zhukovsky and Yu. A. Gagarin (Monino, Moscow region) and the Military Aviation Engineering University in Voronezh.
In the interests of improving the educational and material base and improving the quality of training of aviation specialists, new infrastructure facilities of the educational institution are being put into operation. In the new academic year, more than seven and a half thousand servicemen started classes at the academy, of which more than one and a half thousand cadets and students entered classrooms and classrooms for the first time.
